PANHANDLE COUNCIL OF CAR CLUBS
Serving Car Enthusiasts in the Texas Panhandle and the Surrounding Area
Welcome to the Panhandle Council of Car Clubs!
The Panhandle Council of Car Clubs was started in January of 1981 by David Patterson of Canyon Texas. It was established so that all the existing clubs (which numbered 8-10 at that time) would participate in local charity events. The first event promoted was the Girls Town benefit in Borger, Texas. In 1986 the Council formerly voted to promote the Make-A-Wish Foundation and to date has raised over $1.2 million for this organization. The major event each year is an indoor car show held in late February or early March at the Amarillo Civic Center. As may as 300 cars are drawn each year with this being the largest show held in the Panhandle of Texas each year.
Exciting letter from the President!

CRUISE NIGHT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET AT PARAMOUNT BAPTIST CHURCH. THEY HAVE AN EVENT PLANNED AND NEED TO USE THEIR LOT FOR THEIR ACTIVITIES.
PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP AT THEIR LOCATION
Thank you!
The 1st Saturday of each month is ’Cruise Night’ where all the clubs and local car enthusiasts meet in Amarillo. Each club takes turns hosting the event. Cars start arriving at around 5:00 P.M. and the cruise starts at 7:00 P.M. Starting the first Saturday of January 2022, the meeting spot will be at Paramount Baptist Church (south parking lot) located at 3801 S Western St. It is not uncommon to have between 100 and 150 vehicles present. The function outgrew it’s home for years recently because of the increase in attendance and we are still growing!

The Council representatives meet the last Tuesday of each month at the Vintage Auto Haus & Imports building located at 8201 W Amarillo Blvd at 7:00 P.M. in Amarillo. Council officers are: Billy Jones - President, Dave Martin - Vice-President, Amy Slover - Sec and Anita Fink - Treasurer. CRUISE NIGHT
Cruise Night is held the first Saturday every month. Starting in January of 2022, the cruise night will be held at Paramount Baptist Church in the south parking lot. The church is located at 3801 S Western St. Cruise night is hosted by a different member club each month. Cars usually start arriving around 5:00pm. Please be friendly, drive slowly, play family friendly music, clean up after yourself and RESPECT THE SPOT! We do not want to lose our new location due to the carelessness of others. The church has offered the lot for the first Saturday of the month.
There is to be no car gatherings at ANY OTHER TIME.
