PANHANDLE COUNCIL OF CAR CLUBS
Serving Car Enthusiasts in the Texas Panhandle and the Surrounding Area
Welcome to the Panhandle Council of Car Clubs!
The Panhandle Council of Car Clubs was started in January of 1981 by David Patterson of Canyon Texas. It was established so that all the existing clubs (which numbered 8-10 at that time) would participate in local charity events. The first event promoted was the Girls Town benefit in Borger, Texas. In 1986 the Council formerly voted to promote the Make-A-Wish Foundation and to date has raised over $1.2 million for this organization. The major event each year is an indoor car show held in late February or early March at the Amarillo Civic Center. As may as 300 cars are drawn each year with this being the largest show held in the Panhandle of Texas each year.

ABOUT
The 1st Saturday of each month is ’Cruise Night’ where all the clubs and local car enthusiasts meet in the parking lot of a local shopping center at Hillside and Bell Streets in Amarillo. Each club takes turns hosting the event. Cars start arriving at around 5:00 P.M. and the cruise starts at 7:00 P.M.. It is not uncommon to have between 100 and 150 vehicles present. The function outgrew it’s home for years recently because of the increase in attendance and we are still growing!
The Council representatives meet the last Tuesday of each month at the Vintage Auto Haus & Imports building located at 8201 W Amarillo Blvd at 7:00 P.M. in Amarillo. Council officers are: Billy Jones - President, Dave Martin - Vice-President, Amy Slover - Sec and Anita Fink - Treasurer. Please feel free to address any inquires to the Panhandle Council of Car Clubs, P.O. Box 7685, Amarillo, Texas 79114-7685.
